503.11 ANNUAL BUSINESS LICENSE; FEE; PENALTY FOR NONRENEWAL; NEW LICENSES.
   (a)   Each alarm business license issued pursuant to this chapter shall expire on February 1 of each year. Application for renewal of alarm business licenses shall be made to the Chief of Police between January 1 and January 31 of each year.
 
   (b)   An alarm business license renewal shall be issued upon the processing and approval of the application and upon payment of a license fee to cover administrative and inspection costs in the amount of three hundred dollars ($300.00).
 
   (c)   A penalty fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be paid in addition to the aforementioned license renewal fee, by any alarm business that fails to apply for renewal of its alarm business license between January 1 and January 31.
 
   (d)   All fees shall accompany the application, be made payable to the City of Shaker Heights, and shall not be refundable.
 
   (e)   New alarm business licenses shall be applied for in the same manner as alarm business license renewals, and shall be in effect from the time they are issued until February 1 of each year. New business license fees shall not be prorated and shall be in the amount of three hundred dollars ($300.00).
