(A) Traffic-control signs. The Board of Public Works and Safety of this city shall have the responsibility for the emplacement, displacement, and maintenance of all traffic-control signs and insignia of any kind, character, or description required by this title or by other ordinance of this city or by any law of this state.

(B) Street name signs. The Board of Public Works and Safety shall have the further responsibility for the emplacement, displacement, and maintenance of all official signs denoting for the benefit of the public the names of all streets or other public ways.
