§ 71.034 LANE AND CROSSWALK DESIGNATION; SIGNS, MARKERS, AND THE LIKE.
   The Board of Public Works and Safety or, at its direction, designated employees of the city, is authorized to do the following:
   (A)   Designate and maintain by appropriate devices, marks, or lines upon the surface of the roadway, crosswalks at intersections where in its opinion there is a particular danger to pedestrians crossing the roadway and at other places as it may deem necessary;
   (B)   Establish safety zones of that kind and character and at those places as it may deem necessary for the protection of pedestrians;
   (C)   Mark lanes for traffic on street pavements at those places as it may deem advisable; and
   (D)   Place markers, buttons, or signs within or adjacent to intersections indicating the course to be traveled by vehicles turning at those intersections.
