For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
GARBAGE. Includes offal, any waste animal or vegetable matter from a kitchen, market, or store; food scraps discarded as waste material.
REFUSE, RUBBISH, and TRASH. The terms are interchangeable as used herein, and include but are not limited to the following: all waste material, other than garbage; leaves, grass, or other vegetation cuttings or trimmings; tree trimmings; broken, torn, or worthless pieces of personal property; anything, not of appreciable value, deposited or discarded for disposal. These terms do not include hazardous materials such as flammable liquids, human or animal waste, syringes, ammunition, paints, used motor oil, and the like.
