§ 35.63 PETTY CASH FUND.
   (A)   There is established in the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer of the city a non-reverting fund known as the city Police Department Petty Cash Fund, pursuant to I.C. 36-1-3 et seq. The Fund is to be controlled by the Chief of the city Police Department.
   (B)   The purpose of the Petty Cash Fund is for the payment of postage, travel expense advancements, and other miscellaneous expenses.
   (C)   Distribution of money from the Petty Cash Fund shall be made without the necessity of first obtaining an appropriation from the City Council.
   (D)   The total Fund, cash on hand, shall not exceed the sum of $150.
    (E)   The Fund shall be reimbursed, on a line item basis, at the next available claims period for each amount used.
    (F)   All disbursements from the Petty Cash Fund shall be for the purposes stated above. These disbursements shall be made upon the directive of the Chief of the city Police Department and shall be the sole responsibility of the Chief and his or her staff.
