§ 114.11 ENFORCEMENT.
   The Police Department, Fire Department, and the Department of Public Works and Safety are designated as the agencies which shall enforce the provisions of this chapter. When any violation of this chapter is discovered or brought to the attention of these departments, the departments shall study the circumstances and determine if this chapter has been violated. Whenever the departments determine that a violation exists, they or it shall forward a report setting out the nature, extent, and location of the violation, and refer the report to the Board of Public Works and Safety. Thereupon, the Board of Public Works and Safety shall request the City Attorney to commence an action in the name of the city, in a proper court in order to enjoin a violation of this chapter. In addition, the City Attorney may request the prosecuting attorney of the Judicial Circuit to institute criminal proceedings against any persons who are responsible for the establishment, maintenance, use, or operation which is in violation of this chapter.
