(A) No fee shall be required for selling products of the farm or orchard actually produced by the seller.
(B) No fee shall be required of a nonprofit organization.
(C) The license fee which shall be charged by the City Clerk for a license for soliciting and canvassing shall be as prescribed by resolution of the Board of Public Works from time to time.
(D) For each license issued to a transient merchant, itinerant merchant, itinerant vendor peddler, solicitor or canvasser, the applicant shall pay to the City Clerk the fee prescribed by resolution of the Common Council from time to time and this license shall not be transferred by any transient merchant, itinerant merchant, itinerant vendor peddler, solicitor or canvasser without the written consent of the City Clerk.
(E) All licenses issued pursuant to this subchapter shall have a term of three days. The applicant may retain the license issued by the city for a period of one year after issuance, before use, but in no event is the license valid for more than three-day term.
(F) No license shall be issued less than 48 hours from the date of application.
(G) The applicant shall, by affidavit and supporting testimony, show his method of business and gross volume or estimated gross volume of business and such other information as the City Clerk, deem necessary.
