§ 96.04 SUPERINTENDENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION.
   (A)   Office created. There is created the office of Superintendent of Parks and Recreation of the city.

   (B)   Appointment. The Superintendent of Parks and Recreation of the city shall be appointed by the Mayor of the city, upon the recommendation and subject to the approval of the City Council. The Superintendent shall also be subject to removal by the Mayor of the city upon the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Committee of the City Council.

   (C)   Duties. The Superintendent of Parks and Recreation shall have supervision over the parks of the city, shall be responsible for keeping the parks clean and keeping the improvements and equipment in the parks in proper repair. The Board shall approve all claims for materials and supplies purchased for the parks and all claims for labor performed on the park property before the claims are paid, and, in general, shall be responsible for the orderly management of the park property.

   (D)   Salary of Superintendent. The salary of the Superintendent shall be set by ordinance of the City Council.
