§ 152.24 STREET INTERSECTION AND DRIVEWAY APPROACH SPACING MINIMUM STANDARDS.
   (A)   Unsignalized driveways. Five hundred feet or more should be provided between full-movement unsignalized accesses, but this minimum distance requirement may be waived if that is the only way to provide at least one such access per each residential lot.
   (B)   Number of approaches. Residential lots shall not have more than one driveway approach unless approved by the County Road Supervisor. For the purposes of this division (B), circular driveways are considered as having two access points and thus require County Road Supervisor approval.
   (C)   Proximity and width. No residential driveway shall be planned right next to another driveway nor be more than 32 feet in width unless approved by the County Road Supervisor. In no event shall the combined width of such driveways exceed 48 feet or 50% of the entire lot frontage, whichever is less.
   (D)   Corner lots. On corner lots, driveways must be placed no closer to the centerline of the intersection than 250 feet. The Road Supervisor may waive this requirement if the frontage proposed is the only way to access the property.
   (E)   Commercial lots and developments. Commercial lots or developments are not limited to one access per lot and should be addressed on a case-by-case basis, but not to exceed the access frontage requirements listed in the following divisions. Additional accesses must be approved by the county upon completion of a circulation plan or traffic impact study provided to the county indicating that more than one access is required to adequately handle the development’s traffic volumes and further indicating that the additional access will not be detrimental to traffic flow on the adjacent street network. Circular driveways are considered as having two access points and are subject to the requirements of division (B) above.
   (F)   Multiple accesses. When more than one driveway access is allowed for a property, then driveway accesses shall be in accordance with division (H) below. Not more than two driveway accesses shall be installed per parcel. All driveway layouts and exceptions shall be approved by county road personnel.
   (G)   Street intersection separation distances. The following are the county’s required street intersection separation distances based on the functional class of the roadway facility.
