(A) The County Clerk/Auditor shall issue licenses and assess and collect license fees.
(B) (1) Applicants for a business license shall submit a properly completed application form to the Clerk/Auditor. Unless otherwise provided, if issuance of the requested license is consistent with applicable law, the Clerk/Auditor shall approve the application and issue a license.
(2) The completed application should be accompanied by:
(a) Zoning clearance from the Zoning Administrator. If zoning clearance is disapproved or conditionally approved, no business license application can be submitted until all outstanding items of disapproval have been successfully completed by the applicant to bring the proposed business location into compliance with all county and state laws; and
(b) Clearance from the County Sheriff’s office (for alcohol-related business activities).
(C) The application must include full payment of all business license fees.
