SCHEDULE I. STOP SIGNS; PREFERENTIAL STREETS.

   (A)   General.

      (1)   Stop signs shall be posted at the following intersections within the town limits:

      (2)   In addition, a four-way stop intersection shall be located at the conjunction of Muncie Street and Albany Street, Jackson Street and Pittenger Road, Pittenger Road and Muncie Street, South Street and Muncie Street, Union Street and Muncie Street, Union Street and Washington Street and Pittenger Road and Miller Road. Also, a three-way stop will be located at Albany Street and Jackson Street.

   (B)   Vehicle restrictions.

      (1)   Where stop signs are posted on the first named street in division (A) above, traffic on the first-named street shall stop at their intersection with the second named street and yield the right-of-way to approaching traffic on such second named street.

      (2)   Wherever stop signs are posted at or near the entrance to any intersection, each driver of a motor vehicle shall stop such vehicle at such sign before entering the intersection.

   (C)   Size of stop signs. Every stop sign erected pursuant to this schedule shall bear the word “STOP” in letters not less than six inches high.

   (D)   Penalty. Any person found guilty of violating division (B) above shall be fined in a sum not to exceed $50.
