2-6-7: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
   (A)   To conduct its meetings in a businesslike manner;
   (B)   Accept as its major responsibility the development of guidelines for the economic development of the City, in order to fill the requirements of the community;
   (C)   To establish the following as its goals and objectives:
      1.   Decrease unemployment and underemployment,
      2.   Improve the economic well being of the residents of the City, and
      3.   Enhance the economic base and comparative advantages while maintaining the environment of the City.
   (D)   Recommend policies and guidelines for the economic development of the community;
   (E)   Review and make recommendations on the annual fiscal operating budgets for said Economic Development Commission;
   (F)   Visit and review other commercial and/or economic development projects, programs and/or facilities whenever possible and feasible;
   (G)   Develop a philosophy for economic development of the community;
   (H)   Develop and interpret economic programs for the community as required;
   (I)   Hold joint meetings and act in a liaison capacity with other agencies, cities and counties, districts, groups and/or individuals concerned with economic development of the said community as required.
   (J)   To review and recommend to the Planning Commission factors involved in the economic development and recommending their adoption into the general plan and zoning ordinances of the City;
   (K)   To perform or consider any additional duties in the economic development as may be designated by the City Council by resolution, ordinance or directive. The Commission should be interested in all matters pertaining to the economic development of the City and the outlying community;
   (L)   To invite prospective commercial/economic development facilities to the City.
