It shall be unlawful and an offense within the town limits for any person, firm or corporation to use vehicle or trailer brakes which create an excessive or unusual noise such as is created by the use of "jake" brakes. Any person, firm, association, corporation or copartnership who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of an offense and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code.
