(A) Sampling shall be conducted according to customarily accepted methods, reflecting the effect of constituents upon the sewage works and determining the existence of hazards to health, life, limb and property, and shall be conducted in accordance with the standard methods of sampling effluent and wastewater which are employed by the state’s Department of Health.
(B) Examination and analyses of the characteristics of waters and wastes required by this subchapter shall be:
(1) Conducted in accordance with the latest edition of Oklahoma State Health Department Standards;
(2) Determined from suitable samples taken at the control manhole provided or other control point authorized by the approving authority;
(3) BOD and suspended solids shall be determined from composite sampling, except to detect unauthorized discharges;
(4) The town may select an independent firm or laboratory to determine flow, BOD and suspended solids; and
(5) The town will take samples of the lagoon each month and record the results of the sample. This will help the operator to understand the functions of the treatment and the results and to compare them from time to time to make sure the plant operates in a consistent and appropriate manner.
