Awning and canopy signs subject to the sign regulations shall meet the following requirements:
1. No portion of an awning or canopy may be lower than seven and one-half (7½) feet above a sidewalk.
2. No awning and canopy sign may overhang public right-of-way without prior permission of the Council.
