For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
MOTOR VEHICLE. Every vehicle which is self-propelled and every vehicle which is propelled by electric power obtained from overhead trolley wires, but not operated upon rails.
VEHICLE. Every device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a highway; excepting devices exclusively moved by human power or used exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks and excepting a mobile home as defined in Public Act 419 of 1976, § 2, being M.C.L. § 125.2302.
