§ 34.05 SALE OF PROPERTY.
   Whenever any personal property belonging to the village is no longer needed for corporate or public purposes, the same may be offered for sale. Personal property not exceeding $1,000 in value may be sold for cash by the department head, upon approval of the President. Whenever any personal property belonging to the village is no longer needed and has a value between $1,000 and $5,000, the same may be offered for sale upon approval by the Committee after receiving quotations or competitive bids for the best price. Personal property with a value in excess of $5,000 may be sold after posting and receiving competitive bids, as provided in § 34.03, and after approval of the sale has been given by the Council. In the event a new purchase includes trading in village equipment, the trade-in equipment may be disposed of in trade without further bidding requirements.
