Department heads are authorized to spend no more than $1,000 without prior approval from the Committee. Department heads are authorized to spend no more than $10,000 for maintenance items without prior approval from the Committee. The Committee is authorized to spend no more than $5,000 on capital outlay expenditures without prior approval of the Village Council. Expenditures for purchases must be for a budgeted item or for routine purchases within budget limits. If an expenditure would exceed the budget, the transaction must have approval of the Village Council.
