§ 4.06 APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS.
   (A)   The Mayor shall appoint the Marshal unless the duties of the Marshal are contracted with the Sheriff.
   (B)   The Council shall appoint the Clerk-Treasurer (who shall serve at its pleasure).
   (C)   The Council shall appoint the first Fire Chief of the volunteer Fire Department for a term of two years. Future Fire Chiefs shall be elected for terms of two years by the members of the volunteer Fire Department, with the approval of the Council.
   (D)   All other officers shall be appointed or selected by the Council unless otherwise provided by law or ordinance.
