§ 34.08 CURRENT EXPENSE WARRANTS.
   (A)   The City Clerk shall be and is hereby authorized to issue warrants on the Treasurer to be paid out of the current incomes of the city. Said incomes to include all taxes and incomes except such as are set aside to pay the interest on city bonds and to create a sinking fund for the discharge of said bonds, as provided by ordinances.
   (B)   Said warrants shall be known as current expense warrant and shall draw interest at the rate of 6% per annum. Both the face of the warrant and the amount of interest which may have accrued shall be payable either September 15 of the year in which it was issued or January 1 of the year after issue as may be indicated in the face of the warrant.
   (C)   All of said warrants shall be received by the City Treasurer at their full face value and accumulated interest, in payment of all kinds of taxes the holder may at any time owe the city, except sinking funds and interest on city bonds.
   (D)   The said current expense warrants shall be issued in payment of the following current expenses of the city and these expenses only:
      (1)   City Hall rent;
      (2)   City lights;
      (3)   Light fixtures and repairs;
      (4)   Hauling garbage;
      (5)   Salaries of city officers;
      (6)   Incidental expenses;
      (7)   Telephone rents;
      (8)   Fuel; and
      (9)   Publishing notices and ordinances.
   (E)   All current expense warrants shall be subject to a call of the Treasurer for redemption at any time after issue.
   (F)   All such warrants shall be signed by the Mayor and City Clerk.
   (G)   This section shall become a law and be in full force and effect after its adoption and publication as the law directs.
