(A) The city shall observe the holidays of New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving (two days), Christmas Eve and Christmas and that the aforementioned holidays shall be observed as paid holidays by the city’s employees.
(B) If any employee is required to work on any of these holidays, he or she shall receive a compensatory day of leave.
