§ 155.01 SPECIFIC USE STANDARDS.
   (A)   The purpose and intent of this chapter are to avoid potential damage to adjacent properties from transmission tower collapse and falling ice through engineering and siting standards that maximizes use of any new cellular antenna tower, and encourages collocation and clustering of cellular antenna towers to reduce the number of towers and tower sites needed.
   (B)   The provisions of this chapter shall apply to the construction, erection, alteration, use, and location of transmission towers and accessory facilities in all zoning districts. Cellular antenna towers, antennas, and related equipment in legal existence on the effective date of § 153.01 that are not in conformity with this chapter may remain in place. Unless otherwise permitted by § 153.01, no new cellular antenna tower, antennas, or related equipment may be erected or constructed unless all provisions of this chapter and the requirements of the Commonwealth Public Service Commission are met.
   (C)   An antenna and supporting structure for the following uses is permitted in any district if accessory to a permitted use and if it complies with applicable regulations of the district in which situated and is otherwise permitted by law:
      (1)   Amateur radios;
      (2)   Citizen band radios;
      (3)   A telecommunications device that only receives radio frequency signals;
      (4)   Portable, hand held, and vehicular transmissions; and
      (5)   Industrial, scientific, and medical equipment operating at frequencies designated for that purpose by the FCC; and
      (6)   Transmission towers used for remote control of municipal or public facilities.
