§ 113.026 EXAMINATION REQUIRED.
   (A)   Before the applicant shall be registered as a gas fitter, he or she shall submit to an examination to determine his or her fitness and competency to engage in the business of a gas fitter, which examination shall be given by the Examining Board as hereinafter provided. Upon the payment of the required registration fee, the applicant, after having by the examination shown himself or herself to the satisfaction of the Examining Board to be fit, competent, and qualified to engage in the business of a gas fitter and having gained final approval from the Board, shall be registered and given a certificate of registration signed by the Chairperson and Secretary of the Board. Any applicant who fails to pass the required examination shall not be eligible to again take the examination until six months have elapsed.
   (B)   The examination shall consist of two parts:
      (1)   Written examination, which shall count as 50%; and
      (2)   Personal interview and past experience, which shall count as 50%.
   (C)   The examination shall be passed to the satisfaction of the Examining Board. A grade of 75% shall be considered as passing. The examination fee for a gas fitter shall be set by resolution of the Governing Body and shall be paid to the Utilities Superintendent upon application for a license.
