§ 113.602 VILLAGE PROCEEDINGS
   (A)   The Village may, on its own initiative, during the six (6) month period which begins with the thirty-six (36) months before the Franchise expiration, commence a proceeding which affords the public in the Village appropriate notice and participation for the purpose of:
      (1)   Identifying the future cable-related community needs and interests, and
      (2)   Reviewing the performance of the Grantee under the Franchise.
   (B)   If the Grantee submits, during such six (6) month period, a written renewal notice requesting the commencement of such proceeding, the Village shall commence such proceeding not later than six (6) months after the date such notice is submitted. The Village and any Grantee shall follow the informal renewal process pursuant to Section 626 of the Cable Act (47 U.S.C. 546), unless the Village or any Grantee, after thirty (30) days written notice via certified mail, may choose to implement the formal process as provided in Section 113.603 through 113.609 below.
