§ 110.56 CLOSING HOURS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful to sell or offer for sale any alcoholic liquor at retail in the Village or to permit any person to consume any alcoholic liquor in or on any licensed premises between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Monday through Saturday inclusive; and between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday; except that it shall be unlawful for any holder of a Class “W”, “H”, or “R” license to sell or offer for sale any alcoholic liquor at retail in the Village or to permit any person to consume alcoholic liquor in or upon any licensed premises between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.; except that it shall be unlawful for any holder of a Class "X" license to sell or offer for sale any alcoholic liquor at retail in the Village or to permit any person to consume any alcoholic liquor in or upon any licensed premises between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, except that more limited hours may be approved by the Local Liquor Control Commissioner in his or her discretion; and except that it shall be unlawful for any holder of a Class “L” license to sell or offer for sale any alcoholic liquor at retail in the Village or to permit any person to consume alcoholic liquor in or upon any licensed premises between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday and between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any premises for which a retail liquor dealer's license has been issued pursuant to this chapter to keep open for business or to admit the public to any premises in or on which alcoholic liquor is sold at retail during the hours within which the sale of such liquor is prohibited, provided that grocery stores, restaurants, and clubs may be kept open during the said hours, but no alcoholic liquor may be sold or consumed by the public during such hours, but nothing contained in this section shall be deemed to authorize any such retail establishment, restaurant, or club to keep open for business or to admit the public to such premises at or during any hour when such premises are required to be closed by virtue of the regulations or restrictions imposed by any other provisions of this municipal code.
