Any person, trustee, firm, or corporation owning, renting, leasing as lessor or as lessee, or permitting the occupation of any building or premises with knowledge that alcoholic liquors are to be sold therein or, who having leased the same for other purposes and who shall knowingly permit therein the sale of any alcoholic liquors, shall be required to carry Dram Shop Insurance for such premises, issued by an insurance company authorized to do business in Illinois, in at least the amounts recoverable under ILCS Ch. 235, Act 5, § 6-21, as amended, so as to save harmless the premises and the interests of any such person, trustee, firm, or corporation. Such Dram Shop Insurance coverage shall be kept in full force and effect during the license term. In the event the licensee is not the owner or lessor of the premises, the licensee's maintenance of a Dram Shop Insurance policy naming the owner or lessor as an additional insured shall satisfy the insurance coverage requirements.
