§ 30.091 APPOINTMENT; COMPTROLLER PRO TEM.
   (A)   The Village Comptroller shall be appointed by the Village President, by and with the consent of the Board of Trustees.
      (1)   The nominee for Village Comptroller shall be considered by the Board of Trustees solely on the basis of executive and administrative qualifications, with special reference to actual experience in or knowledge of accepted practice in respect to the duties of the office hereinafter set forth and the requirements and qualifications hereby are desired to be of a nature as to require technical training or knowledge.
      (2)   No Trustee or the President shall receive such appointment during the term for which he or she shall have been elected, nor within one year after the expiration of his or her term.
   (B)   During the absence or disability of the Village Comptroller/Manager, the President, with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, may designate some properly qualified person to act as Comptroller/Manager pro tempore to perform the duties of the office.
