§ 32.07 FIRE CADET PROGRAM.
   A Village Fire Cadet Program, consisting of a 200-hour course in firefighting skills, is established hereby, which shall be operated under the supervision of the Director of the Fire Department. Fire cadets will be trained by Village employees who are in the Classified Service.
   (A)   Purpose; Rules.
      (1)   The purpose of the Fire Cadet Program is to provide a training regimen in fire safety and technology for Village youths between the ages of sixteen (16) and twenty (20) years.
      (2)   The Director of the Fire Department shall make such rules and regulations regarding fire cadets as are consistent with the rules of the Department, this chapter, and as the Department Director may deem necessary for the Fire Cadet Program.
   (B)   Release of Village. Prior to admission to the program, each person seeking to be a fire cadet shall provide the Village with a medical certificate of good health and a release of the Village from liability for injury or damages resulting from participation in the program.
