§ 32.06 USE OF VOLUNTEERS AUTHORIZED.
   The Director of the Fire Department is authorized to call to duty any appointed and trained Volunteer Firefighter of the Village to supplement the needs of the regular Fire Department when there is a situation which, in the opinion of the Director, requires the use of additional fire personnel.
   (A)   Composition of Auxiliary Firefighter Group. This group may consist of the following part-time Volunteer Firefighters to supplement and assist the Department: One (1) captain, one (1) lieutenant, and further part-time Volunteer Firefighters as, from time to time, may be hired by the Village President.
   (B)   Appointment; Termination. To further the Fire Department's needs, the Village President is authorized hereby to appoint residents as Volunteer Firefighters in a number as the Village President may deem necessary, with the advice and consent of the President and Board of Trustees. The term of appointment of Volunteer Firefighters appointed hereunder shall be at the pleasure of the Village President and may be terminated by the VillagePresident, with the understanding that failure to reside within the corporate limits of the Village shall constitute automatic termination of employment.
   (C)   Other Provisions Incorporated by Reference. Volunteer Firefighters are part-time employees and are subject to the orders and directions of the Director of the Fire Department and the provisions of this chapter and all rules and regulations of the Fire Department that are not in conflict with this section.
   (D)   Training. No person appointed as a Volunteer Firefighter shall commence work as a Volunteer before receiving proper training in fire fighting technology and until proficient therein as determined by the Director of the Fire Department.
   (E)   Compensation. Volunteer Firefighters shall be paid as provided from time to time by the Village President and Board of Trustees.
