§ 51.01 DEFINITION.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   INCINERATOR. Any device intended for or used for the destruction of garbage, food waste, or other combustible refuse or water materials by burning.
   LITTER. The term includes, but is not limited to, putrescible animal and vegetable waste resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking and consumption of food; other putrescible waste, including dead animals, yard clippings and leaves; non-putrescible solid waste (except body waste), including rubbish, ashes, street cleanings, abandoned automobiles, solid market and industrial wastes, paper, wrappings, cigarettes, cardboard, tin cans, glass, bedding, crockery and similar materials and all other waste materials which, if thrown or deposited as herein prohibited, create a danger to the public health, safety and welfare.
