§ 132.10 DISCHARGING FIREARMS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful to discharge any firearm or air rifle in the Village, provided that this section shall not be construed to prohibit any officer of the law from discharging a firearm in the performance of his duty; nor to prevent any citizen from discharging a firearm when lawfully defending his person, abode or fixed place of business.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any person to possess any firearm or air rifle upon the property of any school within the Village, provided that this section shall not be construed to prohibit any officer of the law from possessing a firearm as prescribed by state law.
   (C)   An air rifle is defined as any air gun, air pistol, spring pistol, B-B gun, paint ball gun, pellet gun, or any implement that is not a firearm which impels a breakable paint ball containing washable marking colors, or a pellet constructed of hard plastic, steel, lead or other hard materials with a force that reasonably is expected to cause bodily harm.
   (D)   It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of 18 years to possess any firearm or air rifle in a public place or on any property other than his/her own real property, abode or fixed place of business. A person under 18 may possess an Air Rifle upon his/ her own property only under direct supervision of a parent or guardian.
   (E)   No one may possess a look-alike weapon except upon his/her own property, abode or fixed place of business.
   (F)   A look-alike weapon is any item that reasonably, by its outward appearance or construction resembles a firearm to the extent that a reasonable person would assume it was a firearm or feel threatened if it were pointed in their direction.
   (G)   Any Police Officer may at the owners expense confiscate any air rifle or look-alike weapon found in violation of this ordinance.
