§ 120.15 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   DIRECTOR OF POLICE. The Director of Police, Chief of Police, Police Chief, Deputy Chief of Police, or such designee.
   EXTENDED STAY HOTEL UNIT. An apartment, suite, or other sleeping or housekeeping unit in a hotel with in-unit full kitchen and bathroom facilities. Rates for a unit may be quoted on a weekly or monthly basis.
   EXTENDED STAY MOTEL UNIT. An apartment, suite, or other sleeping or housekeeping unit in a motel with in-unit full kitchen and bathroom facilities. Rates for a unit may be quoted on a weekly or monthly basis.
   GUEST ROOM. One room offered for rental within a hotel for the purpose of temporary lodging or sleeping with or without an adjoining bathroom.
   HOTEL or MOTEL AUTHORITY. Any individual person, employee, manager, contractor, mortgagee, person-in-charge, agent, firm, partnership, corporation, or other legal entity having: l) any legal or equitable interest in a hotel or motel; 2) actual or constructive possession of a hotel or motel; or 3) the ability to regulate, restrain, dominate, counteract, or govern any sort of conduct that occurs within a hotel or motel.
   HOTEL. An establishment containing lodging accommodations designed for use by transients or travelers or temporary guests, which establishment is kept, used, or maintained as or advertised or held out to the public to be a place where sleeping, office, conference, or exhibition accommodations are furnished for lease or rent, whether with or without meals. The definition of hotel includes the parking lot and other common areas of the hotel.
   MOTEL. Any establishment consisting of a group of attached or detached rooms with bathroom and closet space, located on a single zoning lot or contiguous or adjoining zoning lots comprising one single plot of land, which is kept, used, maintained, advertised or held out to the public to be a place where lodging or lodging and food or apartments or suites or other sleeping or housekeeping units, with or without in-unit kitchen facilities, are offered for compensation to travelers and guests, whether transient, permanent or residential. These facilities may be described as motor hotels, highway motels, motor courts, lodges, inns or other like names denoting that accommodations are available primarily for transient guests. The definition of motel includes the parking lot and other common areas of the motel.
   MOTEL UNIT. An apartment, suite, or other sleeping or housekeeping unit in a motel.
