Sec. 2-100 Disability Retirement.
   a.   Officers who are unable to perform required duties and responsibilities or who have exhausted all injury, sick/illness leave will submit disability retirement requests to the proper Public Employees Retirement Fund as described by applicable State Statute and administrative rules or regulation in seeking additional retirement/disability benefits.
   b.   Officers requesting benefits will be governed by regulation, policy and procedure as required by the State retirement fund.
