1-26-1: DELINQUENT PAYMENTS:
   (A)   All fees, charges and other amounts due the city shall be due and payable on or before the thirtieth day after the date on which the statement of such amounts is delivered or deposited in the U.S. mail by the city. In the event that such amounts are not received by the city within the thirty (30) day period, such amounts shall be deemed and will thereby be declared delinquent and thereafter a delinquent charge of one and one-half percent (11/2%) per month, or portion thereof, will be added to the amount due. The delinquent charge will continue to accrue until all amounts due, including all delinquency charges, are received by the city.
   (B)   The above established delinquency charge shall be in addition to any other charges or penalties imposed by law for late payment or nonpayment of funds due the city.
   (C)   Charges for water, sewer and refuse collection are not subject to the delinquency charge imposed by this section. However, nothing in this section shall prohibit the city from imposing penalties which may be provided elsewhere in this code.
   (D)   This section shall apply to all charges billed after the effective date hereof. (Ord. 1456, 6-22-1993)
