1-6-1: ELECTION AND FUNCTIONS:
The City Council, consisting of eight (8) members, shall be elected to office for a four (4) year term, according to the method provided by statute 1 . The Council shall be the Legislative Department of the City government, and shall perform such duties and have such powers as may be delegated by statute to it. (1977 Code)
