During the temporary absence or disability of the Mayor, the Council shall elect one of its number to act as Mayor Pro Tem, who during the absence or disability of the Mayor shall perform the duties of the office. On such occasions, the City Clerk will open all regular and special Council meetings with the first order of business being to elect a Mayor Pro Tem. (1977 Code; amd. Ord. 1814, 9-27-2005)
