9-1-38: SPEED RESTRICTION:
   (A)   When an official sign is erected at an intersection or upon the approach thereto or along a street or highway or along a portion of such street or highway giving notice of a lesser or greater speed respectively than provided for in the Illinois vehicle code, no person shall drive a vehicle through such intersection or along such street or highway or portion of such street or highway at a speed greater than is indicated on the signs.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Longmoor Avenue from Chicago Avenue to the end of Longmoor Avenue at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour. (Ord. 1680, 7-24-2001)
   (C)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Diagonal Street from Summitt Avenue to Fifth Street at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour.
   (D)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Fourth Street from Washington Street to Webster Street at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour.
   (E)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Glenmoor Avenue from Chicago Avenue to Cragmoor Street at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour.
   (F)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Third Street from Chicago Avenue to Clay Street at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour.
   (G)   Every driver operating a vehicle upon any street, highway or alley shall at all times drive in a careful and prudent manner and shall have the vehicle under control and at a rate of speed that will not endanger the property of another or the life or limb of any person. (1977 Code)
   (H)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Webster Street and North Fifth Street from Fourth Street to the Savanna city hospital access drive entrance at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour. (Ord. 1305, 12-9-1986)
   (I)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Bowen Street and East Bowen Street from Fourth Street east to the end of East Bowen Street at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour. (Ord. 1178, 10-23-1979)
   (J)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on East Bowen Street from Pike Street east to the end of East Bowen Street at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour. (Ord. 1153, 10-24-1978)
   (K)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Wayne King Drive in excess of ten (10) miles per hour. (Ord. 1510, 10-11-1994)
   (L)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Pike Street from Viaduct Road to Willow Street in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour. (Ord. 1520, 1-24-1995)
   (M)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Pike Road in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour. (Ord. 1522, 3-28-1995)
   (N)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on Portland Avenue from Viaduct Road to Wacker Road at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour. (Ord. 1680, 7-24-2001)
   (O)   When an official speed sign is erected upon the street or highway approaching a city park or along a portion of such a street or highway adjoining a city park it shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on said streets or highways at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour.
