No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle for any purpose or period of time other than for the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers in any place marked as a passenger loading zone during hours when the regulations applicable to such passenger loading zones are effective and then only for a period not to exceed three (3) minutes.
No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle for any purpose or length of time other than for the expeditious unloading and delivering or pick up and loading of materials in any place marked as a merchandise loading zone during the hours when the provisions applicable to such loading zones are in effect. In no case shall the stop for loading and unloading materials exceed thirty (30) minutes.
Schedule Loading Zone
(A) The following described portions of Main Street and certain other streets hereinafter designated, which portions shall in each case have a width of ten feet (10') measured from the curb line toward the center of the street, are designated as loading zones:
1. Main Street East Side: That portion of Main Street measured from the south curb line of Jefferson Street extending along the east curb line of Main Street in a southerly direction a distance of eighty three feet (83') to the beginning of the loading zone. Loading zones in each case shall have a total length of twenty five feet (25'). (1977 Code)
2. Third Street West Side: That portion of the west side of Third Street measured from the back of the extended curb line of Murray Street, thence northerly a distance of one hundred twenty four feet (124') to the beginning of the loading zone. 4. 130 Third Street: That portion of the east side of Third Street measured twenty four feet (24') south of the back of the extended southern curb line of Adams Street and extending along the east curb line of Third Street in a southerly direction a distance of one hundred feet (100'). Said loading zone shall have a total length of one hundred feet (100') and be enforced between the hours of seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. to five o'clock (5:00) P.M. (Ord. 1955, 10-12-2010)
