9-1-6: MARKING ZONES OF QUIET:
The superintendent of public works, as directed by the council, is hereby authorized to mark a temporary zone of quiet upon any street where a person is seriously ill if requested so to do by the written statement of at least one registered physician certifying to its necessity, by placing at a conspicuous place in the street, an official sign or marking bearing the words "Quiet Zone". Said temporary zone of quiet shall embrace all territory within a radius of two hundred feet (200') of the building occupied by the person named in the request of the physician. (1977 Code)
