9-1-3: DEFINITIONS:
The following words and phrases when used in this title shall, for the purpose of this title, have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section:
LOADING ZONE: The space in the roadway adjacent to the curb reserved for the exclusive use of vehicles during the loading or unloading of passengers or materials.
OFFICIAL TIME STANDARD: Whenever certain hours are named herein, they shall mean standard time or daylight saving time as may be in current use in this city.
PARKWAY: That portion of public property between the curb lines of an improved roadway and the adjacent sidewalk or the property line, in absence of sidewalks.
PROPERTY LINE: The line marking the boundary between any street and the lots abutting thereon.
PUBLIC BUILDINGS: Buildings used by the municipality, any legally constituted park district, school district or other municipal corporation, the state or the United States government.
U-TURN: The turning of any vehicle within the boundaries of any street or intersection thereof for the purpose of proceeding in the opposite direction to which said vehicle was faced before turning; also the turning of any vehicle to the left within the boundaries of any street or intersection thereof, for the purpose of parking said vehicles to any curb.
