Unless the contrary is stated or clearly appears from the context, the following definitions govern the construction of the words and phrases used in this chapter:
ASSEMBLY HALL means a building, or portion of a building, used for large scale public or private gatherings of people. For example, and without limitation, assembly halls include private educational facilities; religious institutions; clubs; lodges; and similar kinds of facilities whether available for public or private use.
