§ 16.46.110 RESIDENTIAL GARAGES AND CARPORTS.
   The following standards apply to all residential garages and carports.
   (A)   Dimensions.
      (1)   All parking spaces in a garage or carport must have a minimum width of 10 feet and a minimum length of 20 feet. The minimum width and length must be measured from within the interior dimensions of the garage or carport.
      (2)   Single garage doors must have a minimum clearance width of 9 feet, and double garage doors must have a minimum clearance width of 16 feet. No chain link doors or walls will be permitted.
   (B)   Location.
      (1)   Parking spaces for multi-family units must be located within 200 feet of and readily accessible to the dwelling served.
      (2)   Detached garages and carports may be located on the side and rear property lines of a lot, provided roof drainage is designed to prevent runoff onto adjacent property. The following exception applies:
         (a)   On a corner lot, no detached garage or carport will be permitted within the street side yard.
      (3)   On lots where the slope of the front half of the lot is greater than 25%, one detached garage may be located within the required front yard, provided the garage is set back at least five feet from the front lot line and any side lot line, and further provided the garage height does not exceed ten feet.
