The mayor of the city of Santa Clara, Utah, with the advice and consent of the city council, shall appoint a member of the shade tree committee to serve as the chairperson for that body. The chairperson shall conduct all meetings and serve for a term of two (2) years. At the end of this term, he/she may be reappointed for one additional two (2) year term by a majority vote of the shade tree committee members. All subsequent chairpersons shall be appointed by a majority vote of committee members. The shade tree committee secretary and the chairperson pro tem shall be appointed by a majority vote of the committee and each shall serve for a two (2) year term. At the end of the initial two (2) year term, each may be appointed for one additional two (2) year term by a majority vote of the shade tree committee members. The secretary shall post agendas of all meetings and record and prepare accurate written minutes of all meetings to be kept on file in the records vault of the city of Santa Clara, as required by law.
