A. Application for a "permit to burn" shall be made to the city of Santa Anna in writing by the owner, operator, or other person in control of the property upon which the burning is to occur. Application shall indicate the permitted address or location, name, address and telephone numbers and a valid driver's license or identification number. The application for "permit to burn" is attached as exhibit A to the ordinance codified herein. There will be a fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each permit and the permit will expire thirty (30) days after starting the initial burn.
B. The "permit to burn" holder must notify the Coleman police department dispatcher and the Santa Anna volunteer fire department (see subsection 4-3-5A of this chapter) prior to the start of burning each day.
C. The permit is automatically on hold if a burn ban has been issued by the Coleman County commissioner's court or imposed by the mayor of the city of Santa Anna through a proclamation. (Ord. 050916, 5-9-2016)
