A. Bond: Each police officer, before entering upon his duties as a police officer, shall execute a bond in the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00). Such bond will be obtained by the village clerk from the bonding agent of the village. (1982 Code § 10-1-4; amd. 2016 Code)
B. Oath: Each police officer shall, before entering upon his duties as a police officer, take the oath of office as by the statute in such cases made and provided and subscribe the same, which oath shall be filed with the village clerk. (1982 Code § 10-1-4)
