A. Registration Required: No person shall solicit money, services, subscriptions or any valuable thing for any religious, charitable or philanthropic cause, unless such person shall register with the village clerk identifying the cause and its officers, the soliciting agents within the village and the duration of such solicitation.
B. Issuance Of Certificate: The clerk shall issue a certificate of registration, and such certificate shall contain the information required in subsection A of this section and shall be displayed on demand by any police officer or by anyone so solicited.
C. Penalty: Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be fined as provided in section 3-4-12 of this chapter. (1982 Code § 3-3-10)
