A. No person shall throw or deposit upon any highway any glass bottles, glass, nails, tacks, wire, cans or any other substance defined as litter in 415 Illinois Compiled Statutes 105/3 likely to injure any person, animal or vehicle upon such roadway. (1982 Code § 11-1-4; amd. 2016 Code)
B. Any person who drops or permits to be dropped or thrown upon any roadway any destructive or injurious material shall immediately remove the same or cause it to be removed. (1982 Code § 11-1-4)
C. Any person removing a wrecked or damaged vehicle from a roadway shall remove any glass or other injurious substance dropped upon the roadway from such vehicle, except hazardous materials. (1982 Code § 11-1-4; amd. 2016 Code)
