(A) The City Manager shall assign, through the Community Development Director, such staff support, including a city planner, to the Planning Commission as may be required for the Commission to fulfill its obligations.
(B) The staff shall serve as support and advisory personnel to the Planning Commission. They shall have the duty to advise, but not the right to vote.
(C) The staff shall prepare, in consultation with the Chair, an agenda for each of the Commission's meetings.
(D) The staff shall prepare a staff report on each individual project application appearing on the Commission agenda. Staff may provide a staff recommendation on any item if the staff deems it appropriate to make such a recommendation. A staff recommendation, when made, is not binding on the Commission.
(E) The staff shall prepare and recommend new ordinances and ordinance revisions as necessary and as requested by the Planning Commission. The Commission may exercise its discretion in determining whether or not to recommend any such ordinances, or portions thereof, to the City Council.
(F) The staff shall prepare minutes of the Commission meetings for adoption by the Planning Commission.
(G) The staff shall maintain records of all Commission actions with reference to specific projects. Staff shall verify compliance with all conditions imposed as part of the project review by the Design Review Commission, Planning Commission and City Council.
(H) The Planning Commission shall request staff to prepare reports as needed.
