183.01 ESTABLISHMENT; MEMBERSHIP.
   (a)   There is hereby established a Tree Commission of the City which shall be known as the Sandusky City Tree Commission. The Commission shall consist of the following eight members: the Director of Public Services of the City, the Superintendent of Forestry of the City, one member of the City Commission, appointed by the President of the City Commission with the advice and consent of the Commission, and five residents of the City who shall be appointed by the President of the City Commission with the advice and consent of the City Commission.
   (b)   Of the initial appointments, with the exception of the Director of Public Services, the Superintendent of Forestry of the City and the member of the City Commission, one term shall expire on December 31, 1989, two terms shall expire on December 31, 1990 and two terms shall expire on December 31, 1991. Subsequent to the terms of original appointment, all appointments to the Tree Commission shall be for terms of three years. Any vacancy occurring during the term of any member of the Commission shall be filled for the unexpired term in the manner authorized for the original appointment.
   (c)   Members of the Commission shall serve without compensation.
