(a) A City employee whose pay is fixed on a biweekly basis, who is a member of the uniformed services, is entitled to a military leave of absence from his or her duties without loss of pay as provided under Ohio Revised Code section 5923.05. This leave may be extended at the discretion of the City Manager or by order of the President of the United States or the Governor of the State of Ohio in times of emergency. Such leaves of absence shall not affect the person’s right to vacation leave, sick leave, FMLA eligibility, bonuses or other normal benefits of his employment. Return to work from Military Leave shall be expected as defined in USERRA.
(b) Compensation beyond what is provided by R.C. 5923.05 will be at the discretion of the City Manager with approval of the City Commission.
